The Heart Behind The Brand
Hi, my name is Hope, and I am the owner of Hope’s Horse Apparel. I’m also a mom to two amazing boys who are often seen hanging around the store with me outside of school hours. Alongside them is my Blue Heeler Trigger, who keeps me company at the shop, and at home I have a playful herd of five horses that keep life busy and full.
My love for horses began at a young age. When I was 10 years old, I was given the opportunity to help care for a family friend’s horses in exchange for riding lessons — and from that moment on, there was no turning back.
I started my riding career in the hunter/jumper ring, and as time went on, I was fortunate enough to ride a wide variety of horses that helped me grow both as a rider and as a person. Over the years, I became especially drawn to the more challenging horses — the ones others didn’t always understand. Those horses taught me far more than riding skills, and I’ll always be grateful for everything they gave me.
As I got older, I developed a passion for learning as much as I possibly could about every aspect of the horse world. That curiosity led me through many different disciplines over the years, including hunter/jumper, hunter under saddle, western pleasure, reining, roping, barrel racing, and a variety of clinics across multiple disciplines.
My love for the “difficult” horses never faded, and eventually people began approaching me for help with their own horses. That became the beginning of my journey training horses for others — and ultimately, the beginning of Hope’s Horse Apparel.
My passion for tack quickly turned into a need for specific, high-quality pieces that truly felt right for both horse and rider. Because feel matters so much to me, I decided it was time to start creating my own tack again. What began with halters and lead ropes quickly expanded into endless custom possibilities as more and more people reached out for custom work.
In 2019, I opened my custom tack business full-time. I spent countless days and nights in my little basement suite braiding, knotting, and creating nearly anything customers could dream up.
Then, in 2022, I decided I wanted to expand even further and open a tack store. Shortly after making that decision, I was given the opportunity to purchase an existing store — and I jumped at it.
The past few years have been an incredible journey of growth, learning, and building this beautiful little business into something truly special. I’m so thankful for every customer, every conversation, and every bit of support along the way.
Whether you’re a seasoned competitor, weekend rider, or simply someone who loves the western lifestyle, I’m grateful to help you find pieces that feel right for both you and your horse.
Thank you for being part of this journey with me.
